Pinon trees grow in the foothills of the California desert, as well as in Arizona, Wyoming, New Mexico and Texas. The pinion tree produces an edible pine nut that is a decadent treat on salads. The fragrance of the Pinon Pine is very fresh-evergreen.

We spent 2018 removing non-renewable and single-use plastics from our product packaging. Instead, we've opted for sleek, food grade tins, the classic elegance of glass bottles and jars, and the whimsical beauty of organza bags. These items are reusable in your home, or recyclable if you choose. There are still a few packaging items we are looking for suitable replacements for.
Our soap has a label affixed to seed paper. The label removes easily from the seed paper card. Plant the seed paper in a small pot of soil, or directly into your garden, and keep moist until germination. There is a blend of 12 non-invasive wildflowers embedded in our seed paper. The piece of yarn that we've tied the soap bar with is hand-dyed wool.
We hope that you enjoy our tiny gift and that you plant flowers to encourage pollination and beauty. We'd love to see your pot/plot of wildflowers that you grow! Send us a photo to "mercantile @ catspawfarm . com", or tag us on Instagram with "#catspawfarm"
Your shipping box may contain paper, tissue, packing peanuts, air pillows, foam nuggets, or other non-natural materials. None of these are new. We are reusing materials sent to us and encourage you to do the same.
