Clay masks are a treat for your skin and your psyche. They are remarkable at pulling sebum and dirt from your pores and helps slough off dead skin cells. Once your skin has been mask-treated, your skin breathes better and seems to have a glow about it.
Apply a medium layer of mask to your face. Avoid eye, lips, and nostril area. Allow the mask to dry for 10-15 minutes. You don't have to wait until the mask is flaky, just until the clay is lightening in most areas of your face. Prepare a washcloth with very warm water. Fold it in half and place on your face so that the fold is under your nose. This softens the clay and makes it easier to remove. Wipe the clay, alternately rinsing the cloth and wiping clay with it until the clay is removed. Warm the cloth with very warm water again and place on your face so that the fold is above your nostrils and the cloth is laying gently over your eyes and forehead. Once the clay in this area is softened, wipe and rinse until the clay is removed. You do not have to wash your face, but you can if you'd like. We recommend not (do an Oil Cleanse the following day if desired, instead.)
