Ingredients (1/5)
Gah! It's already the end of January, and one of my 2018 resolutions was to blog once a week. While I've not been successful in that, I'll make more effort moving forward. :)

Here is some information about some of our ingredients. I'll continue to add to this in the future. We use all natural ingredients, sourcing local whenever possible, and organic when they are available.

Goat Milk
Benefits of Goat Milk: Goat Milk has been used since ancient times as a natural cleanser. It is one of the finest moisturizers and has excellent emollient properties. Goat Milk contains vitamin A, and several B vitamins including riboflavin, niacin, B6, and B12. Vitamin A is extremely important in skin care and aids in curtailing acne and may also help with eczema as alpha-hydroxyacids penetrate the top layers of the skin and promote exfoliation (sloughing of old skin cells). Exfoliation stimulates healthy skin regeneration. The skin may appear smoother and softer with an overall lessening of fine wrinkles and skin discoloration. The hydroxy acids are also theorized to improve scaling, precancerous growths (actinickeratoses) on sun-damaged skin.

Canola Oil
Benefits of Canola Oil: Canola oil has been shown to reduce stiffness and tenderness and help decrease inflammation. Canola oil is high in vitamins and it will support your skin health significantly. It can help fight free radicals and aids in alleviating spots, blemishes, and wrinkles.

Castor Oil
Benefits of Castor Oil: Castor oil has many properties, and is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. The oil contains omega-6 fatty acids, so it can nourish your hair, add back in shine and help prevent split ends. Castor oil is used for treating dry skin, and has been found to help promote the production of elastin and collagen. The ricinoleic acid found in castor oil makes it a superb natural treatment for mild acne (remember to consult your physician if you have acne). It has also been useful in scar tissue reduction treatments, sunburn treatments, cuticle and fingernail treatments, and anti-inflammatory studies.

Shea Butter
Benefits of Shea Butter: Natural shea butter contains high quantities of vitamins A and E and is used to improve a variety of skin conditions, including allergies, abrasions, wrinkles, eczema, dermatitis, and even some blemishes. Shea butter also contains active properties that have been shown to treat insect bites, sunburns and frostbites. The moisturizers in shea butter are chemically similar to the sebum your body manufactures naturally, making it one of the best forms of hydration available.

Coconut Oil
Benefits of Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal. It is highly nourishing to hair and skin. Coconut contains approximately .1% Vitamin E.

Olive Oil
Benefits of Olive Oil: Olive oil contains vitamin E, which improves skin health by treating inflammation, acne, and protecting the skin from serious ailments like psoriasis and skin cancer. Olive oil contains three major antioxidants: vitamin E, polyphenols, and phytosterols. Vitamin E partly accounts for the anti-aging benefits of olive oil because it helps restore skin smoothness and protects against ultraviolet light. Hydroxytyrosol, a rather rare compound found in olive oil, also prevents free radical damage to the skin. Olive oil penetrates deeply into the skin while providing a cleansing.
